ISK teacher Becky Oliver will coordinate the work of English A examiners worldwide

An IB expert for more than two decades

Becky Oliver, BA, MA, English and Theory of Knowledge teacher at ISK Tirol, has been appointed as Team Leader for the May 2025 examination session. In this important role, she will coordinate the work of examiners worldwide, ensuring that assessment standards for the English A examinations are applied consistently and fairly.

With more than two decades of experience as an examiner in seven countries across five continents, Becky brings extensive expertise in assessing English A exams. As Team Leader, her responsibilities include guiding and supporting international examiners, interpreting markschemes, and ensuring a standard of marking is achieved. Additionally, Becky will provide feedback on the application of assessment criteria and compile a comprehensive report on candidates' strengths and weaknesses during the May 2025 examination session. This report will be shared with all English A instructors to further enhance teaching and assessment quality.
