At the start of the new school year, the graduating 12th-graders went on a memorable journey to Vienna, accompanied by their form tutors, Mrs Johanna Rauch and Mrs Sarah Kreidl. Together they had already explored the cities of London and Barcelona, but for their final class trip, the capital of Austria seemed to be the perfect opportunity to gain more knowledge about the own country.
In the course of a diverse program the opportunity presented itself to immerse in Austria's rich history. From the exploration of impressive palaces like Schönbrunn and Belvedere to pleasant strolls through the Schönbrunn Zoo as well as informative tours at the UNO Centre, and the Austrian Parliament – our itinerary offered something suitable for a wide range of interests. However, undoubtedly, the evening performances stood out as the highlights of this trip. With a variety to choose from, including the musical "Rebecca", Charlie Chaplin's "Der Große Diktator", the opera “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the majestic Vienna State Opera, and even a mesmerising Shakespearean production – something to suit every taste.
Vienna – a journey that will be remembered by all of us for a long time, serving as a cherished memory of beautiful experiences and, ultimately, as the conclusion of our school years. With the end of our Vienna trip, we now enter the challenging months ahead, which we will be able to manage together.
