The city of Kufstein organized the Day for Peace and Unity in Europe on May 9 in the fully occupied "Festungsneuhof".
Thereby a sign for the togetherness in Europe was set. Kufstein's mayor Martin Krumschnabel and cultural commissioner Klaus Reitberger welcomed the guests, the Kufsteiner Singkreis accompanied the event musically.
A large delegation of the International School Kufstein Tirol enriched the program with interesting, emotional and personal contributions on the topic of Europe, peace and shaping in a common living space. It was impressively shown that the European idea has a special significance especially for the youth.
In addition, there was a live stream between Kufstein and its Italian "partner town" Rovereto. The two mayors exchanged greetings. In the course of the live streaming, the concert of the Heldenorgel with the European anthem was transmitted to Rovereto and the peace bell in Rovereto could be heard in Kufstein. Also in Rovereto were students of ISK, who participated there in a meeting of the EU project "Schools beyond regions and borders".
