This year's class trip to Barcelona for Year 11 was a complete success.
After a warm welcome from our host mothers and settling into our rooms, we went out for tapas in the city on the very first day. The following days all started with 3 hours of Spanish in the morning at the Kingsbrook language school. We spent the first half of the lesson speaking Spanish with our teacher Edu.
In the second half, we had to walk around the city and talk to locals in various public places. Once we had finished school, we went on exploration trips every day. We visited sights such as the Sagrada Familia, Parque Guell and many more of Gaudi's colourful works of art. Of course, we also had time to go shopping and explore the city on our own. To round off the week nicely, we took the train to Sitges on the last day, where we were able to swim and lie in the sun on the beach the whole day.
All in all, I would say that the trip was very exciting and relaxing. We had a great time and a lot of fun together! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teachers once again. Thank you, Mrs. Rauch and Mr. Schmid, for giving us such a great time and making the trip so enjoyable!
